feeling better & you can too

I cried it out today on the phone with my mom and on the couch under a blanket with my bestie Katelin. I love her. We've been in a weird funk lately. She's been homesick and jealous of me and Aimee, and I've been homesick and jealous that she's going to Spain, on MY dream study abroad trip that I told her about (that I can't go on because my dumb sister is getting married). Ok so that's not the only reason we can't afford it, but that's the reason my dad gave me. But we had planned on going there together and I wish I could, but alas I do not have $15,000 to spend on a semester in Spain.

Anyway. Here's a sales pitch/suggestion/product that I'm endorsing simply because I tried it and absolutely loved it (and I think everyone wanting to tone up should hear about it because it honestly works). I've been doing 10 Minute Trainer by Tony Horton and for the busy gal on the go who wants to be healthier and get into shape this is PERFECT. It's a series of exercise videos that are only 10 minutes long. And let me tell you they work you the heck out in those 10 minutes. It's so intense and they go by so slow and so fast all at the same time. It's amazing. The talking is a little cheesy and the moves a little silly but I just put on some workout music and I'm good to go and I don't even care that the moves are weird because they work you out so well. By the end you'll hurt so good (yes I said hurt so good). The package if you buy it from the company is like $80 but I bought mine brand new on Ebay for $29.99 (free shipping too). It didn't come with the exercise band you need but I bought a package of 3 (different resistances) at Wal-mart for $15 and they're the exact same ones that come in the "10 Minute Trainer Deluxe" package (in which they claim the exercise bands are a $30 value). Anyway, if you want to work out but don't have a lot of time you should do it because it really works, and if you want you can always do multiple videos a day (it recommends up to 3, but no more because otherwise you'll be too sore!). Hooray for getting healthy!

Also, if you are starting any type of work out routine I seriously recommend taking "before" pictures of yourself. Get a close friend to take your front, back, and side pics in a sports bra and small shorts and to take your measurements. It's a serious wake up call as to what your body really looks like. I see my naked body everyday but I never really SAW it until my roommate (Aimee) and I took our pics and measurements. It's not that I was like oh my gosh I'm fat, but more like wow I seriously need to tone up because I look sluggish and unhealthy. WOW long post. I hope it was helpful to at least one of the 5 people that read my blog (as of today I have 5 blog followers instead of 4, and 4 of them lived together in courtyards so I think it's pretty safe to say my blog has really taken off and I will probably be the next blogger turned celebrity, just saying). Gnight.
