I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with my grandma. We spoke completely in Spanish (ok save a few "como se dice______'s"). She understood me! Usually my horrible Spanish and her lack of formal education in Spanish hinders us from being able to really communicate in Spanish but not this time! I am on a total high because when you come from a family of native Spanish speakers (as in English as a second language) it's really nerve racking to try and talk to them in Spanish for fear of looking like an idiot. Anyway, I feel SOOO good right now and I might be tooting my own horn a little too much but I don't care because my grandma said she was proud of me :)
oh and Amanda, grandmas says we need to practice speaking Spanish together more (cada semana).
