I might be driving home with my big seester next weekend.  TOTALLY EXCITED!!  But it's still a maybe.  When to get sized at VS on Friday while doing some browsing at the mall with Katelin and found out that I'm a 32DD.  Makes sense why the 34D I'm wearing right now is completely uncomfortable.  Sigh.  Well at least VS is having amazing sales right now which is good as I'm in need of a new swimsuit too because let's be honest, my chest will most definitely NOT fit into the top I wore last year.  Oh an for anyone else in the market for a new suit I'm talking amazing deals like $2.99-$6.99 a piece.  So you could essentially get a swimsuit for $6 or $14 (whoa big spender).  And there's an additional 25% off any clearance item.  They also have cute ones for $39 and under (I'm getting one that's like $19 total) if you want a broader selection.  Do I sound like a commercial yet?  VS should pay me to plug them (but alas my blog doesn't even reach 10 people).
This is the swimsuit I'm getting and I liiiike it. haha.  Now I just need to rev up my workout routine.

Next item of business: physics test on Monday.  Yikes!  But I got an 80 on my last test while the class average was a 66, and the class is scaled so here's to hoping everyone fails and I do well.  Hahaha.  OK, so time to study.

Also.  Bridesmaids, I have found several cute pairs of shoes that would be perfect for A's wedding but they're out of my price range (like over $70).  Not sure how much you're willing to spend...I figure not that much, but every budget is different so if you're interested let me know and I'll send you the links.

blabbering about my future, imput would be helpful.

I'm contemplating getting my MD/PHD instead of just an MD.  Not sure yet but research in healthcare is always needed an completely fascinating.  Maybe I could cure diabetes, or children's arthritis, or develop a new treatment for cancer.  Who knows the possibilities are endless!  This is only a small thought in my head at the moment, but definitely one worth considering.  I'm also considering getting my PHD in public health.  I worked at the UNT's grad school for public health this summer and it was really interesting.  There was a lot of boring stuff, but a ton of really interesting stuff as well.  How cool would it be to go into down town Dallas, Ft. Worth, needy communities, and everyday suburbia to inform the public on how to stay safe, how to prevent disease, health lifestyle choices to reduce risk for heart disease, diabetes, breast cancer, cervical cancer ect?  I could basically research how the public views certain medical/health t, opic, then address the problem areas I find.  I still don't know if I could give up treating the needy, going into work everyday to look at the coolest stuff like oozing, pus filled wounds, broken bones, a dilated cervix, ect.  I say this not to be insensitive or gross but because I honestly find those things fascinating and I really like helping people.  Anyway this entry is only a string of thoughts as they pop into my mind and things that I've been thinking about lately.  I'm not sure where I'll go (though I will say my main goal is still just an MD) but it's scary knowing that I have to chose.  What if I make the wrong choice?  What if I decide public health and I was meant to be an internal medicine specialist at Mansfield Methodist?  What if, what if, what if... Now I know why my mom said she hates "what ifs"  She said "what if's" don't happen, except I know that sometimes they do.   OK, I'm no longer making sense.  Time for a shower, bed, and some prayers.

Life is Good Again

Fancast once again has real housewives and millionaire matchmaker episodes online. YAY! I've become quite addicted, sick I know, but I can't help it! Now my schedule will no longer have to revolve around the Bravo!'s schedule and I can watch them at my leisure. Like right now, when I should be studying for my biochem test that's tomorrow... oh well I can do both :)
Also, I gave tours today at the Jakie Gaughn Multicultural Center. The new center is really neat and a great place to study, have organization meetings, ect. I'm pretty excited about it's opening. Better mood today eh.

annoyed

I am pretty bummed that healthcare reform passed. I knew it would. I've been trying to avoid thinking about it because there's nothing I can do to change it and it seriously upsets me because it directly affects my life. A LOT. I'm not saying that to act like I'm one of the few that it will affect so throw me a pity party because it essentially affects everyone, but it sucks extra because my career will be in healthcare. It will put limitations on what I can and can not do, and what I will HAVE to do. I don't want government regulation. I don't want another trillion dollars in national debt. I don't want my tax dollars to pay for it. But that's not even the main issue. The main issue [for me] is that my responsibilities, duties, and rights as a doctor will change. OK, I know I'm not a doctor yet, but I will be soon. I think the administration working on healthcare reform should have listened more to experts in the field, like doctors, nurses, and hospital administration because they know what will work, what won't, what's worth trying, and what's not. That's my two cents. Not that it matters but I needed to get that off my chest. Now I suppose I'll have to just suck it up and deal with it because there's no use whining about something you can't change.

also, I know our government is supposedly by the people for the people and in theory we CAN do something about it, but my senator, and house representative already have my mindset and are representing my views so unless I want to move to a swing state, my voice really doesn't matter.

MAN, I wanted to say "On to happier things..." or "On a lighter note..." but unfortunately I have nothing to say that could be preceded by either of those phrases. Hopefully next post I will because today I am a Debbie-Downer.

MORE PLEASE

So watching the "Lifetime Movie Network" has made me fear for my life! Hahaha. All the movies are about psychos that act normal except for one person catches on to the fact that they're not an no one believes them. Anyway, basically every dangerous situation could be avoided with a gun. A 9 mm, a 32, heck even a 22 little gun. For me? I'd prefer a 12-gage double barrel shotgun that will remain by my bedside, especially when my firefighter is off running calls all night at the station.

Kyle and I went shooting on Monday and we shot over 300 rounds of amo. Can you say awesome!? I shot my first shotgun (100 rounds) and even hit some skeet. I was so scared, I didn't want to do it at first, but Kyle made me. I closed my eyes (even though you're not supposed to because it's totally dangerous) and opened them to see my skeet exploding. Probably the coolest experience ever.

OK, maybe THIS was my favorite part. Shooting an M4 (the civilian equivalent of an M16)! I sound like an addict but it is completely exhilarating to be in control of such a powerful weapon. The bullets are the size of my middle finger. The gun shot sounds like a cannon.
Thanks to Kyle for opening up another part of his world and sharing it with me :)

vroom vroom

Ahh.
I am so very thankful for the people in my life. I know I vent on my blog quite a bit, but I want to talk this time to say thanks to the wonderful people in my life.
Also,
I'm going to supercross over spring break!! I'm so excited. Kyle used to to race motorcross (dirt biking that's almost the same as supercross but it's outside and amateur not pro) and he was awesome at it! He even got sponsered by FOX (yes that skater-ish brand sold at pac sun) he was so good! He had to quit because his parents couldn't afford it anymore but that's where he gets his crazy love for dirt bikes and motorcycles from. We're always doing "my things" like shopping, or visiting museums, or going to different parks and "learning" types of activities so it'll be nice just to let loose and do something different. That's one thing I absolutely love about our relationship. We're so different in so many ways (i.e. hobbies) but we're similar enough so that when we do join in on each others hobbies we like them. Kyle has re-kindled my love for bike-riding that I abandoned when I was about 12, has taught me to love guns, and is now getting me into motorcycles and dirtbikes. While I've gotten him into museums (he loves them now) and am currently working on getting him to like symphonies. I guess opposites do attract.
Two most exciting things we plan on doing over spring break:
1. supercross!
2. I'm going to shoot my first shotgun! (and probably some more hand guns as well).

Hopefully we're able to go see supercross because it's at Cowboy's Stadium in Arlington so it's more expensive than seeing it at another venue, but we'll see.
