Please, learn how to not be an idiot.
Unfortunately most of the people who are, don't even know it and acceptance is the first step towards getting help.

Inspiration

People always get mad at me when I say I think I'm fat.  Here's the deal though, I didn't even hit 100 pounds until I was in high school, and by the time I graduated and was ready to leave for college I weighed a measly 110 pounds.  That's not a lot.  Now, I weigh a lot.  And even more than that, my body isn't the tight and toned gymnast/dancer body that I once had.  Also, to be clear I don't actually think I'm fat.  I do think I could stand to loose about 10-15 pounds.  So now that I've already lost about 15 pounds I'm really on a  kick to get in better shape and loose some inches!

This is my inspiration photo taken about a week before I left for my first semester of college.  One that I can look at when it's taped to my full length mirror and say, I can be that thin again!  Except that this photo is completely unrealistic because I was ridiculously skinny and have to accept the fact that I will never again be 110 pounds and made of long lean muscles.. (but it's nice to dream?)

This is my realistic inspiration photo!  I don't have a perfecto tummy made solely of abs but I'm 21 and already declining so I'll take what I can get!

Now, if I ever get up to a size 6 again and am not pregnant, please tell me I'm out of control in the harshest way possible.  I need it.
So how am I going to get back in shape!?  By working out.  I'm doing p90X because even though the rec takes 4 minutes to walk to from my apartment, I have an intense fear of working out in public.  I feel like everyone is judging me.  I wish I could say I'm cutting calories and eating super healthy however if you know me, you know this is not the case.  I already eat really healthy, but I splurge at least twice a week and sometimes more so I need to be realistic.  Or I need to learn how to control La'Shawnda.  La'Shawnda is the name given to my inner fat girl by my friends while having a hefty portion of burritos and margaritas at La Mex. Yes me and my friends name our inner fat girls, you can laugh at us.  I'll keep you updated on my progress.

Well excuse me for wanting more!

I like Mark.

I liked this.  I think it's a pretty fantastic idea actually.  Christensen said it best telling reporters "criminals do not follow the rules."  They just don't.  Obviously making a law saying no guns on school campuses does not prevent criminals from bringing guns to school, history supports my statement.  It does prevent law abiding citizens with their CHL from bringing a handgun to school.  I am behind you all the way Mark Christensen!  Let's allow the law abiding citizens to exercise their right to bear arms because whether we like it or not, criminals will!
What are your thoughts on the issue?

So I nanny a little boy named Camden (pictures to come).  He's now 4.5 months old and I started nannying him when he was 3 weeks old.  He's grown a lot and is a cute little guy.  Now.  That brings me to my point.  Camden fell asleep in my arms (as usual because he always needs to be coaxed into falling asleep) tonight while watching Say Yes to the Dress.  What was am I thinking!? I say am because I am still watching Say Yes to the Dress...  Being alone with a baby and watching a wedding show is a recipe for an emotional disaster when I'm still incredibly fragile from a heart breaking end to a 3.5 year relationship.  Can we fast forward the 1.75 years (according to Charlotte) it will take me to get over it?  Yes.  And while you're at it please fast forward me to a 2nd year med student where I can fall in love with a hunky 4th year.  And at the request of my abuelita please make him Latino.
I am now going to eat half my weight in cheese.  Do not judge me.

Well 12 degree weather is A LOT warmer than -3 degree weather.  I still hate the cold.  Last semester I was in Nebraska heaven.  No snow, no negative temperatures, no needing to bust out my ski jacket.  Now, I'm back to reality.  Somewhere around 12 inches of snow, 2 snow days, wind, and temperature Tuesday's at Runza (the temp outside at 6 am is the price you pay for a (gross) runza!)  I hate it.  Something I love is that Katelin is back from Spain and we can use the tunnel between our buildings to see each other without ever going outside!  I've missed her.
Now as for a quick update.  We started school 2 days late on Wednesday which was wonderful for me because I became violently ill around 3 am Sunday morning.  Since my Mondays start at 9:30am and end at 5:30pm with a four hour lab I was very relieved to have skipped that day.  Another perk of the new semester, no school on Tuesdays!  But that means I'll be working all day Tuesday instead.  Let me take this moment to say I don't like my job.  I kind of hate it.  I have a wonderful boss (Dr. Choe) but  researching metal organic frameworks is just terribly boring.  I wish I loved my thesis idea but I don't.  In science when you need at least 2 years of research before you can even try and act like you did something meaningful and that means no time to start over.  Bleck.  Let's get this semester and this thesis over with!
Also, my P.chem class has 44% of my grade riding on my cumulative final exam. Great.
